The story

Let’s Dance is a high-energy production show in the Royal Court Theatre on board Cunard’s Queen Anne. It mixes the elegance of ballroom with the energy of hip-hop. It was one of two new in-house shows made for the ship’s maiden season, which began in May 2024. Big Tele, the video and production design studio led by Ben Bull, brought Keyframe Studios in at the start of 2024. We created the 3D animated content for the stage screens behind the dancers. We built the world in Blender, starting from a modelling brief for the ship and the build and marketing photos Cunard supplied. Later in 2024 the show moved to Queen Mary 2, so the content had to be rebuilt around a different ship. Our team joined Big Tele, Carnival UK, Stage Vibe and Archer Sharp Design for a site visit on board in Southampton. We studied the theatre, the stage and the ship before going back into production.
