Welcome to The TravelVRse, the ultimate destination for travel lovers who want to explore the globe in a whole new way: through VR. The TravelVRse partnered with Keyframe Studios to bring this groundbreaking travel planning and booking experience to life. The idea is simple: step inside the destinations you're considering and get a realistic preview of what to expect before you book. The experience includes digital twins of popular travel destinations, which immerse you in a new world like never before.
What we did
We created the tech demo for The TravelVRse. It starts with an interactive globe where you choose your destination. You are then teleported to a city area, such as the vibrant Gaslamp District in San Diego, where you can explore points of interest, including a digital twin of the lobby of the luxurious US Grant hotel. Inside the hotel we built a bespoke VR scavenger hunt. You are led by the late US President Ulysses S Grant and other characters to discover the hotel's rich history. Solve the puzzles and you are rewarded with an NFT collectible, which can be redeemed when you book a stay. The experience offers an immersive way to preview destinations and hotels, and creates a memorable story that encourages travellers to check out a hotel before booking. Our 3D replica of the hotel and its interactive characters make it engaging and unforgettable.
